Improving and maintaining health is the highest priority when we talk about quality of life. Remember, you didn’t have to think about it when you were young? That is because your body was growing rapidly making you what you are now. However at some point in your life that rapid growth stopped and maintenance started. Then again in a few years that maintenance became sluggish.

There are reasons for that sluggishness and there are ways to improve it and I’ll talk about it in my other videos.

There are five aspects to address in your physical and emotional health, and they are connected, so they must be improved simultaneously. 

Actually, it is easier to think of them together rather than separately. It makes more sense.

  • Your Emotional Life
  • What you Eat and Drink 
  • The Environment around you (including people) 
  • Your Aches and Pains 
  • What do you Believe in that is Larger than You

These are still broad and overwhelmingly big subjects, so let’s make them more practical. In my clinical practice I identified areas that, as you take care of them, definitely will make your life much better :

  • Emotions
  • Nutrition
  • Digestion
  • Hormones
  • Spirituality

I realized when you start taking care of your health with these 5 components in mind, your life improves dramatically. The priority of it, of course, starts with weaknesses/symptoms you already developed, however in any case they all got to be addressed at the same time.

Holistic medicine knew all along and modern functional medicine already knows that the symptomatic health approach doesn’t work, and in fact, it might make things worse. Finding the root cause of imbalance and addressing it is the only way to achieve a successful outcome. Roots have stems and branches which all fall into the categories I prescribed above. We start healing the root and everything else follows. 

Successful entrepreneurs know that about business – fixing little things within a big picture of a failing company can be costly and it can really make things worse. Re-evaluating and changing it on a global level can be easier, cost-effective, and can make the company profitable.

Start thinking of yourself as the most prized possession you have. Everywhere you go, everything you start, you are taking your body with you. You will be as successful as your mind allows you to be. An imbalanced body and racing thoughts create a reality you might not like that much. 

The good news is that you can achieve balance and health with the integrative and systemic approach, and you can build a reality that you really like. 

So, the first thing to improve is your thinking and your belief about what is possible for you and what life you deserve and want to have. 

That alone will set things in motion and get you ready to move off the “set point” in your life. You will become interested in leaving your uncomfortable “comfort zone” as you get more knowledge about how to do it right.
