We are entering into the fall, and according to the ancient Five Elements system, a time of the Metal element. It brings with it some valuable life lessons and lessons about health. It even can bring a midlife crisis!  Read on…

So, what are the teachings of the Metal element, and how it can make your life better? All these aspects tie together and together they make sense. I also make it super practical just further down in the article.

  • In human life, it signifies the period from 50 years old to about 70 years old.
  • In the seasonal calendar, it is about September – November.
  • In the lifespan of any project, it’s the stage of the project for polishing and evaluating the results.

In Chinese medical interpretation, it is related to the Lungs/Immune system and the Gut.

The energetics of the Metal element reveals things clearly, and it answers many questions about life and the law of nature.

Want it or not, we humans are subject to the law of nature, and the better we get it and our part in it, the better our life will be. Luckily for us, it is not so difficult – the understanding part. We already feel it every day, some more than others.

You and the Metal

We definitely enter a new chapter in life as we turn 50. ( if you are younger, keep reading anyway, it will give you a heads up on what the future might bring)

In a good case scenario:

  • It’s a time of Clarity vs Confusion. We crave clarity, simplicity, and meaning.
  • It’s a time of Quality over Quantity.
  • It’s a time of less unnecessary noise and more Meaning.
  • It’s a time of identifying more Value in your life.

It is a Fall in one’s life. A meaningful time of realizing how cool and colorful everything can be, even when flowers are not in bloom. It is a different kind of color – the trees changing leaves. Even here in Florida, when we don’t have an obvious color change, there are still signs of a Fall in the air.

It’s a time of life when we start understanding what is really important and what is better to discard or delegate. It is a natural inclination – to get lighter and more clear.

What can you discard? Things you don’t need anymore, toxic relationships, attachment to anything that doesn’t serve you anymore, disturbing memories, old patterns and beliefs, and perhaps even your idea of who you suppose to be. Anything to feel lighter!

This is what can happen If the Metal energy is imbalanced:

  • Harsh judgments,
  • Increasing negativity
  • Hoarding, accumulating, greed
  • Midlife crisis in every sense of it
  • Colorectal and digestive issues
  • Shortness of breath

The good news is that Metal imbalances can be resolved from both emotional and physical perspectives.

This brings us to the topic of…

The Metal and your Body

In Chinese medical interpretation, it is related to the Lungs/Immune system and the Gut.

In ancient Chinese medicine, every organ is considered to be under the influence of a specific element. Perhaps it was done just for the simplicity of classification, however, the notion of “letting go” and the function of the large intestine are kind of similar.

Lungs are about breathing/inspiration and Large Intestine is about letting go.

The idea is that you have to let go of the toxic staff (the poop) in order to take in something of a life-giving quality (the air). Remember, quality over quantity? Your gut is a home of many microorganisms that either help you or harm you. You want to keep the ones that help you.

Metal also rules your Immune System as it is really about being super clear about what you should let in and what should stay outside of you. A healthy microbiome is the foundation of your health.

Taking an Inventory

So it all starts with figuring out where are you at – taking an inventory. Thankfully, functional testing lets us do it on the physical plane. My favorite expanded digestion test provides tons of clinically relevant and practical information on getting your digestion / immune system healthier.

The emotional inventory consists of questioning yourself deeply about what is really important in your life. What is working/not working for you and what can make your life easier and happier? The struggle is overrated. And the change always starts with changing your mindset.

Ask me about my mindset programs – from a specific problem to a chronic pattern of behavior to resolve.

Let’s Get Practical

I have an updated immune system protocol to share with you. As always there is a medical disclaimer – it is not medical advice and you have to consult with a healthcare practitioner (it can be me). I am constantly rotating my immune supplements to not let my body get used to it, plus I have to avoid accidentally overstimulating my immune system).

The Immune System Daily Protocol

  • Vitamin D/K2:  2,000 – 10,000 IU/day
  • Zinc: 30mg (make sure you take copper 1:15 to zinc. It will make 2mg. Avocados have a lot of copper)
  • Liposomal Vitamin C: 1,000+ mg
  • Quercetin: 500 mg

If you were out and about in social gatherings add

  • Oil of Oregano: drops or capsules
  • Nasal spray: with silver or grapefruit seed extract

Fix and Balance your Gut Microbiome

The common misconception is that checking your gut happens only if you have digestive issues. It is not true. Any chronic conditions, treatment-resistant symptoms, mood swings, immune system and even hormonal imbalances, headaches, etc. have a lot to do with your microbiome.

Thankfully, we have a way to test, heal, and balance it.

This test is a critical part of my clinical investigation program, however, it provides answers to many questions even on its own. Often we even start with it.

You will find out if there are any pathological elements that might be affecting your health, any dysbiosis – the imbalance in your microbial flora, the status of your enzymes, intestinal inflammation, gluten sensitivity, if you have a leaky gut, and other super important information.

With the test, I provide initial consultation, complete interpretation, and treatment protocol if needed. Remember, gut health is a cornerstone to your well-being!

I always welcome your questions, and I provide a 15 minute complimentary consultation to determine if we are a good match.

Please share this information with others, you never know who can greatly benefit from it.
