CLINICAL CARE
Integrative Medicine
Functional Medicine • Chinese Medicine
Clinical care begins with understanding your individual situation.
Whether you’re seeking answers to persistent symptoms, addressing a specific health concern, or considering acupuncture, your health history, previous testing, and what you’ve already tried provide an important starting point.
Drawing on both functional medicine and Chinese medicine, we explore the factors that may be contributing to your concerns and determine whether further investigation, acupuncture, or a combination of approaches is most appropriate for you. Functional medicine consultations, laboratory review, and personalized care planning are also available through telehealth throughout Florida.

INDIVIDUALIZED ASSESSMENT
What informs the next step
The relevant details depend on why you are seeking care.
01Health history and symptom timeline
02Previous testing and clinical records
03Current medications and supplements
04Nutrition, sleep, and daily patterns
TWO COMPLEMENTARY APPROACHES
Clinical investigation and hands-on care
Functional medicine and acupuncture offer different ways to understand and address health concerns. I draw on each where appropriate, while keeping your medical history, priorities, and existing care in view.
01 / FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE
Clinical Case Review
I review your health history, previous laboratory results, diagnoses, medications, supplements, and the course of your symptoms. When a question remains unanswered, targeted functional testing may help clarify what is happening. The findings guide a practical plan, with an explanation of why each recommendation matters.

02 / CHINESE MEDICINE
Acupuncture & Traditional Therapies
Chinese medicine offers a different perspective on health, considering the relationships between symptoms, physical function, and patterns of imbalance. Depending on your needs, treatment may incorporate Five Element acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, and other traditional therapeutic approaches. Care is individualized according to your presentation, health history, and response to treatment.

AREAS OF CLINICAL FOCUS
Explore areas of clinical care
Digestion, hormones, and nutrition are closely connected in clinical practice. Each has a dedicated page with a fuller explanation of how I evaluate concerns and approach treatment.
01
Gut health & microbiome
Understand how I evaluate digestive symptoms, the microbiome, food reactions, and findings from gastrointestinal testing.
02
Hormones & metabolism
Explore hormonal and metabolic concerns, including energy, sleep, and interpreting relevant laboratory findings.
03
Nutrition & micronutrients
Learn how nutrition, micronutrient status, and individualized recommendations fit into a broader care plan.
WHEN A SECOND LOOK HELPS
When a closer review may help
You may have test results from several offices, a treatment plan that is no longer helping, or symptoms that seem unrelated. A careful review can put that information into context and help identify reasonable next steps alongside the care you already receive.

ALREADY INVESTIGATED
Your records contain useful information that has not been reviewed together.
A PLAN THAT HAS STALLED
A treatment or supplement plan is no longer producing useful progress.
SYMPTOMS ACROSS SYSTEMS
Changes in digestion, energy, sleep, or hormones appear to overlap.
A SECOND PERSPECTIVE
You want another informed perspective to complement your existing care.
HOW I WORK
How clinical care works
01 / CLINICAL PROCESS
Understand the full picture
We review your concerns, medical history, existing test results, medications, and previous treatments to establish useful priorities.
02 / CLINICAL PROCESS
Investigate selectively
Additional laboratory testing is considered when it could answer a specific question or change a clinical decision. Existing results come first.
03 / CLINICAL PROCESS
Plan and reassess
We discuss recommendations, the reasons behind them, and how to assess your response. The plan can change as new information becomes available.

SPECIALIZED LABORATORY RESOURCES
The right test for the clinical question
I use specialized laboratory resources when testing may clarify a question that matters for your care. A single laboratory may support several areas of investigation, including gastrointestinal function, hormonal patterns, micronutrient status, environmental exposures, or nutrigenomics. I review existing results first and explain what new testing could contribute.
These laboratory and professional resources support individualized clinical care rather than a fixed testing package. Laboratory fees are separate from consultation fees.
