Often, fatigue increases with activity but doesn’t improve with rest. Symptoms can  worsen with exertion.  Chronic fatigue can be biologically or psychologically based. It can last for years or your whole life.

The cause is unknown but may include environmental or genetic factors or both. It can be caused by chronic unresolved stress, hormonal imbalances, undiagnosed infection, environmental toxins, chemical sensitivity and other underlying causes.

Onset can be triggered by infection, physical or emotional trauma, surgery, anesthesia or allergic reactions – and usually occurs within 6 months of the event.
