Acupuncture in Boca Raton
Your symptoms, your history, and your response guide every treatment.
Each appointment is a private, 60-minute session dedicated to you. We have time to explore your concerns, consider patterns in your health, and provide attentive acupuncture treatment. Care may draw on several Chinese medicine approaches and is adjusted as we learn how you respond. When appropriate, Chinese herbal medicine may also complement your acupuncture care, with a formula selected for your individual needs.

An assessment helps determine the most appropriate starting point and guides decisions as treatment progresses.
How Care Is Planned
Your concerns guide the assessment. Your response guides what comes next.
We begin with what you are experiencing now and how your symptoms fit into the broader context of your health. Chinese medicine offers different ways to assess these findings. I use that assessment to choose appropriate acupuncture methods and revisit those choices as treatment progresses.
Start with your experience
We discuss what concerns you, when it began, what has already been tried, and what may be affecting daily life.
Identify relevant patterns
Your history and assessment help us explore possible relationships among symptoms, longer-standing patterns, and other factors that may affect care.
Choose an individual approach
The techniques, acupuncture points, and follow-up plan are selected for your situation and adjusted according to how you respond.
The Five-Element Foundation
When you address the deeper pattern, more than one thing can change.
You may come for pain, poor sleep, digestive problems, or persistent stress, without realizing how closely these concerns may be connected. The way your body responds to physical and emotional demands often follows patterns that influence several areas of your health and daily life.
This is the essence of the Five-Element approach to acupuncture: understanding your individual constitution and recognizing the underlying patterns that may connect seemingly unrelated concerns. Rather than treating each symptom in isolation, this perspective helps guide treatment toward what may be contributing to several difficulties at once.
Your immediate concern remains important, but the benefits may extend further. As treatment progresses, you may notice improvements in your sleep, energy, emotional responses, or ability to handle stress. Sometimes addressing one concern opens the way for meaningful changes in other areas of your health and life.

Reasons People Seek Care
Questions we can explore together.
People inquire about acupuncture for different reasons. Some are seeking an additional option for ongoing pain, while others are interested in the way Chinese medicine evaluates persistent symptoms. We can discuss what acupuncture may reasonably offer in your situation and when other care is needed.
Pain, tension & headaches
People commonly seek acupuncture for back and neck discomfort, recurring tension, and headaches. Evidence is stronger for certain pain conditions than for many other uses.
Stress & disrupted sleep
Changes in sleep, persistent stress, and their effects on daily life are worth discussing as part of a broader assessment.
Digestive & hormonal concerns
These concerns may involve several contributing factors. Depending on the situation, acupuncture may be considered alongside medical evaluation and other care.
Recovery & life transitions
Some patients seek a sustained period of individualized care when symptoms or daily demands change. We discuss realistic goals and appropriate follow-up.
Your Visit
What to expect at an acupuncture appointment.
From your first visit onward, the hour includes conversation, clinical assessment, and acupuncture treatment. The appointment is not shared with other patients, allowing my attention to remain with you as treatment unfolds.
Acupuncture is performed in person in Boca Raton.
Minor soreness or bruising can occur. Please tell me about medications, bleeding concerns, pregnancy, implants, or other relevant conditions before treatment.
We review your concerns, medical history, current treatments, and what you would like to accomplish before deciding on the session.
Acupuncture uses very fine, sterile, single-use needles at selected points. You may experience a brief sensation of heaviness, warmth, tingling, or minor discomfort.
We discuss how you responded and whether further acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, or another approach may be appropriate. There is no universal treatment schedule.
Private Acupuncture · Appointments & Fees
An entire hour dedicated to your care.
Your appointment is reserved exclusively for you. I do not move between several patients during your session. That gives us time to discuss your concerns, observe your response, and adapt acupuncture treatment to your needs.
Acupuncture is the central treatment. When relevant, our work may also include elements of EFT or NLP to explore emotional patterns connected to your concerns. The methods are chosen individually, not delivered as a predetermined combination.
New and returning patients receive the same 60-minute appointment at one transparent rate.
Questions about your broader health are welcome. A comprehensive functional medicine investigation, extensive lab review, or supplement protocol is a separate Clinical Case Review.
Individual Acupuncture Session
Includes a relevant health discussion, individualized assessment, and acupuncture treatment.
Selected complementary methods may be integrated when appropriate. No separate initial acupuncture fee.
Common Questions
Before your first visit.
Does acupuncture hurt?
The needles are very fine. Some people notice little sensation, while others feel brief pressure, tingling, or aching. If anything feels uncomfortable, please say so during treatment.
How many appointments will I need?
That depends on the concern, your response to treatment, and your goals. We’ll discuss the plan after an assessment rather than promising a fixed number of sessions.
Is the first visit a different price?
No. New and returning patients receive a private 60-minute appointment at $250. Your first session includes an appropriate assessment and treatment within that hour.
Do you also use Chinese herbal medicine?
Yes. I may recommend an individualized Chinese herbal formula alongside acupuncture when it is appropriate for your needs. Herbal medicine is not part of every treatment; I consider your health history, medications, and other care before recommending it.
Do I need to know which type of acupuncture I need?
No. We begin by reviewing your concerns and health history. My Five-Element foundation informs the assessment, while treatment may draw on other acupuncture and Chinese medicine methods as appropriate.
Can acupuncture be combined with other care?
Often, yes. Please share relevant diagnoses, medications, and treatments so we can discuss compatibility and coordinate appropriately with your other clinicians.
Can we talk about my labs or functional medicine concerns?
Absolutely. Your broader health concerns may help inform acupuncture treatment. A detailed interpretation of lab results or review of medications, supplements, and protocols belongs in a separate comprehensive Clinical Case Review so it receives the time and attention it requires.
Is acupuncture offered by telehealth?
Needle treatment is provided in person in Boca Raton. Separate functional medicine and emotional healing consultations may be available virtually throughout Florida.
